DEE FALLS ARTWORK

Creativity and a good eye for design have always come naturally for me, so it wasn't much of a stretch for me to start painting.  It only took a gentle nudge from a beloved friend to pick up a painter's brush, a fresh canvas, and get started.  I found my much needed inspiration in the brushes she gave me nearly 15 years ago. 

Mobile Bay was home to me during my years growing up as a child.  The coastal sights and sounds etched themselves in mind.  I have always been drawn to the coast and find myself walking along the water during most of my travels.  I have been blessed with a life full of travels and beautiful experiences, most of which become the subject of my paintings. 

God blessed me with a talent to paint, but it has taken years of hard work and growth to cultivate.  Looking through my gallery, you will soon notice one common thread that connects the coastal paintings, rural and cities landscapes, still lifes, human life, and sporting events.  It's color!  The one defining quality of my work through the years has been a passionate expression of color. 

I have studied with many fine artists here in the Birmingham area, but have also expanded my horizons through international workshops in Italy and Portugal.  More consistently, I research and educate myself on the trends in the world of art, learning and applying new techniques.  This goes to generate excitement and interest in my work.
